Team Formation

Team size and mix are important components to a successful program. Therefore, we will be shifting some of our model beginning Spring 2025.

  • 8U: 10-13 players per team
  • 10U: 12-15 players per team
  • 12U & 14U: 16-20 players per team
  • A & B teams - determined at Spring season tryouts.
  • If there are enough for multiple B teams, we will balance those teams.
  • If registration numbers exceed our planned maximum at any level and yet not enough to host multiple teams at our minimum, we will host a single large team for that level.

Note: These roster sizes are ideal for Spring season. It may be necessary for summer teams to carry a 20% increase on the maximum.

Waive-up Requests

If you believe your player has the skill and ability to play at a level other than determined in registration (age), please follow the steps below.

  1. Complete season registration.
  2. Complete the Waive-up Request form provided in your registration confirmation email.
  3. For more information, please review our Player Movement section within our Policies & Procedures

It is important these steps are followed. If you have any questions, email boysdirector@blaineyouthlacrosse.com.
