About Us

History

Blaine Youth Lacrosse was founded in 2008 and is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that focuses on the development of youth lacrosse players, boys and girls, within the Blaine High School area.  The girls program now also includes girls from the Spring Lake Park High School area, and welcomes any girls that live in a community without girls youth lacrosse.

Frequently Asked Questions

 What experience is needed?

No experience is needed.  Fundamentals of the game will be worked on during practice at all levels.  Players on the Boys 12U and 14U summer teams will go through a try-out process to determine an A and B team for each age level (if there are enough players).  Players on the Boys 8U and 10U summer teams will be split to make equal-ability teams.  Girls teams will be filled based on player turn out.

What equipment is needed and where can I buy it?

Boys will need to provide their own lacrosse helmet, mouth guard (can’t be white or clear), shoulder and elbow pads, lacrosse gloves, cleats, stick, and athletic cup.  *NO HOCKEY EQUIPMENT IS ALLOWED*  Girls will need to provide their own approved eye guards, mouth guard (can’t be white or clear), cleats, and a girls stick - gloves are optional.  Goalie gear for all teams will be provided by the Association.  Equipment is to be worn at all practices and games.

How do I register?
